The Final Say

I’m a huge fan of Downton Abbey, and this charming cocktail book is a collection of drinks recipes from the era. The Official Downton Abbey Cocktail Book is a delightful picture book full of beautiful photographs of the cast from the set of the series and movie, and drinks. The Final Say is named for everyone’s favorite character, the Dowager Countess of Grantham.

Ingredients

¾ oz gin

¾ oz maraschino liqueur

¾ oz crème de violet

¾ fresh lime juice

Lime wheel, for garnish

Directions

1. Combine the gin, maraschino liqueur, crème de violet, and lime juice in a shaker.

2. Add ice, shake hard for 8–10 seconds, and strain into a chilled coupe or cocktail glass.

3. Garnish with a lime wheel.
